The Rose of Hungerford is a traditional 55' canal boat which provides a much loved and valued service for the community. Crewed and run entirely by fully trained volunteers, The Rose takes up to 50 able-bodied and disabled passengers for trips along the Kennet and Avon Canal from Hungerford. Regular public trips and private charters, cream tea cruises and special Father Christmas trips in December are just a few of the wide selection of events that we offer.
The Rose is owned by The Kennet and Avon Canal Trust and all proceeds go to help the Trust's work preserving and operating many historic buildings along the canal. These include Crofton Pumping Station, Devizes Wharf and Canal Museum, Aldermaston Wharf and the Stone Building in Newbury.
We would appreciate your help so we can continue the work we do and encourage more people to enjoy all the facilities that the Kennet and Avon has to offer.
Thank you for your support and good luck!
