Younger People with Dementia provides a much loved and valued service for members of the community diagnosed with Young Onset Dementia.
People diagnosed with Young Onset Dementia are under 65. This progressive illness can leave many of those diagnosed feeling incredibly vulnerable and likely to become isolated over time, as the illness progresses. And this at a life stage when they would expect to still have a career, be supporting their family and have an active social life.
We provide activities, one to one support, advice and guidance for both the person with dementia and their primary carer. Our group based activities help to maintain skills, improve quality of life and bring people together.
We are the only service of this type for those living with Young Onset Dementia in Berkshire.
We need your help so we can continue to offer and even expand our service to the many people we haven't yet reached across Berkshire!
Thank you for your support and good luck!
