Lottery helps to fund events that create special memories for local children

With just three weeks until the first ever West Berkshire Lottery draw, we have been catching up with some of the good causes that have signed up. The Friends of Chilton Foliat Primary School in Hungerford, organise fundraising events throughout the year, aimed at enriching the children's lives and bringing the school and the local community together.

They aim to use money raised from the lottery to purchase equipment and resources for the school, as well as helping to fund new IT equipment, school trips and playground improvements that may not otherwise be affordable for the small rural school.

Rachel Gear, the Chair of the Friends of Chilton Foliat commented, 'We are delighted to support our fundraising activities through the West Berkshire Lottery. It's a great way to raise awareness of the work The Friends do for our small village school and helps to generate support from the wider community. By raising money through West Berkshire Lottery, we can continue to organise fabulous fundraising events that create such special memories for our children.'
