Lottery will help Daisy's Dream to provide support to West Berkshire families.

There are now over 90 local good causes and charities who are raising additional funds through the West Berkshire Lottery - many of these, like Daisy's Dream, provide a much needed service to the community.

Daisy’s Dream is a local charity supporting children and their families through bereavement. Working across Berkshire, their small professionally qualified team offer over the phone advice and support to families and professionals (such as teaching staff or social workers) who are concerned about a child or young person who has experienced, or is facing, the death of someone they love. They provide an outreach 1:1 service directly to children and young people when additional support is needed, and offer valuable opportunities for families to meet others who are facing similar experiences through their programme of therapeutic group events. All of these services are provided free of charge.

Gemma Gittins, Fundraising Manager at Daisy’s Dream said: “We have signed up to be a part of the West Berkshire Lottery to help us raise the money we need to provide our valuable bereavement support services to families in West Berkshire. Every 50 tickets bought raises enough money for our team to provide an over the phone advice session to a West Berkshire family.

Our hope is to increase the number of tickets in each weekly draw to at least 100, meaning that one of the many 1:1 sessions we deliver each week in West Berkshire could be funded by money raised from the West Berkshire Lottery.”

For every ticket purchased through a charities fundraising page, 50% goes directly back to them. You can support Daisy's Dream here:
